MultiGrain Khichdi




Ingredients |Preparation Time: 20 mins|

  • Multigrain dhalia(Available at Patanjali Stores)   100 gms (Soaked for 15 mins)
  • Vegetables(Potatoes/ carrot/green peas/ corn/ capsicum, any veggies of your choice)   100gms (Cut into small cubes)
  • Greens  a few sprigs(Palak/Dill/Methi, any one of your choice)
  • Tomatoes 3 medium(chopped)
  • Green chilli  1 medium(finely chopped)
  • Ginger small piece(finely chopped)
  • Onion 1 medium(finely chopped)
  • Cumin seeds 1/4 tspn
  • Pepper corn 1/2 tspn
  • Ghee 2 tbspn
  • Water 200ml
  • Salt as per taste

Method |Cooking Time: 20 mins|

Drain the soaked dhalia well and keep it aside. Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker, when hot, add cumin and pepper corn, after it starts to splutter add the finely chopped onion, ginger and green chillies. Once the onion turns translucent add the potato and let it par cook, then add the dhalia and rest of the vegetables, except capsicum. Add salt and water and let it boil. Cover it with the lid and pressure cook on low flame for about 10 to 12 mins. Once ready to serve, add in the chopped capsicums. Mix it well and serve it hot.

Its a complete meal in itself, you can have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner:)
