Hung Curds and Corn Kebab

First time, tried out a snack with hung curds. Wasn’t sure what would blend well with it! Dint want to make it too complex by adding a lot of ingredients, so just tried a simple combination of sweet corn, besan(gram flour), green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves and corn flour.

Ingredients:|Preperation Time:10 mins|

  • Hung Curds 200 gms, *strain curds in a muslin cloth over night, to get a good quality of the curd solid, [500 gms of curds makes about 200 gms of the solid]
  • Green Chillies  3-4,
  • Ginger 1/2 inch,
  • Sweet corn 200 gms
  • Gram Flour(Besan) 100 gms
  • Corn Flour 50 gms
  • Coriander Leaves few generous sprigs
  • Salt as per taste
  • Baking Powder 1/4 tspn(optional)
  • Refined Oil for deep fry

Method:|Cooking Time:10 mins|

Churn sweet corn, ginger, green chillies and coriander leaves, coarsely. Mix it well along with the hung curds, besan, cornflour, salt and baking powder. Heat some oil in a deep fry pan, make small patties of it and fry until it turns golden brown. Serve it hot and crisp with ketchup or pudina chutney.

Tip: Don’t throw away the whey, collected after straining the curds, the whey can be used to make dough for roti.
