Ragi is a finger millet, which is high in protein and minerals in comparison to all other cereals and millets. I thought of using it to make cookies. Usually there s a lot of roughage in the flour, so to make cookies you can choose to sieve it, then use. I like the roughage so decided not to sieve, both wheat and the ragi flour.
Ingredients:|Preparation Time: 10 mins|
- Ragi Flour 1 cup
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Brown Sugar(Powdered) 1 cup
- Pure Olive Oil 1 cup
- Almonds(Coarsely Powdered) 3/4 cup
- Salt 1/4 tspn
- Baking Powder 1 tspn
Method:|Baking Time: 20 mins @ 190 deg C|
Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and make dough out of it. Preheat the oven to 190 deg C.
Make small balls and place them flat on a baking tray. Bake it for 20 mins.
Cool it once done and store them. You can serve it with the tea.
