Stir fried Potato N Basil

Thinking of a quick vegetarian starter with not too much of work,well i would always think of potato first:)….So got a couple of them,peeled them and sliced them into strips and soaked it in water so that they dont turn dark! Opened the refrigerator to see if i could find something to compliment it. Found some basil and thought it was the perfect thing to be added to give a good flavor to the potato! And also some fresh chillies to add a little spice to the dish:)

Ingredients:|Preparation Time:5 mins|

Potatoes 2 large(Peeled and thinly sliced)

Basil leaves a few(chopped)

Olive oil 4 tbspn

Fresh red chillies 4 (deseeded and thinly sliced)

Garlic cloves 4 to 5 (thinly sliced)

Salt as per taste

 

Method:|Cooking Time:15 mins| Heat the oil in a pan and once its hot, add the sliced chillies and garlic so that the flavors gets infused into the oil. Then add the sliced potatoes and salt and let it cook(dont cover) for about 10 to 12 mins on medium flame. Once it s almost done put off the stove and add in the chopped basil leaves.

That s it a quick vegetarian starter is ready:).

*Aroma of basil is very strong so dont over use it and overcook it!
