Prawn s everybodies favourite! Only people who might not like prawns are those probably who re allergic to it,sad they have no choice! Seafood as such cooks very fast ,maximum time needed 5 minutes but seafood such as prawn and squids probably require only 2 to 3 minutes coz if you cook them any longer they become really rubbery which you wouldn t relish! Again as i always say keep it as simple as possible. Prawn has a very strong aroma and taste so it s better not to curb that by using lot of spices! Hope you like this simple recipe of mine:)
- Prawns(cleaned and devained) 500 gms
- Pure olive oil 1 tbspn
- Garlic 3 to 4 (crushed)
- Pepper powder 1 tspn
- Salt as per taste(add as less as possible as the prawns will reduce as you cook)
For the dip:
- Curds 1/4 cup
- Mint leaves (finely crushed so that the juices blend with the curds)
- Salt as per taste
Take some oil in the pan , when it s hot enough add the crushed garlic let it infuse the flavour into the oil(Keep the flame low for a while),then add the prawns in , add salt and pepper and increase the flame and keep sauteing it for a couple of minutes until the prawns are just done. Dont cover as it might leave out water. Once done let it rest on the pan.
For the dip add salt and the crushed mint into the curd and hand blend it.
Now the prawn s ready to be served:)
